World News : Cuba - Raoul Castro re-elected for 5 years as head of the Communist Party

Cuban president Raoul Castro has justs been re-elected first secretary of the Communist Party in Cuba for another 5 years. Raoul Castro, replaced his brother and Cuban revolution leader Fidel Castro as the party's head at the previous party congress held five years ago.

According to theguardian.com, Cuban state owned media said Raul Castro, 84, would remain the party's first secretary and José Ramón Machado Ventura would hold the post of second secretary for at least part of a second five-year term.
